Computer-Integrated Machining Technology @ FTCC

The Computer-Integrated Machining curriculum provides students with the analytical, creative and innovative skills necessary for a career focused on precision manufacturing utilizing a variety machine shop industrial equipment in a state-of-the-art facility.

Accreditation

The Computer-Integrated Machining program at Fayetteville Technical Community College is accredited by the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) & prepares students for the NIMS Certification. The NIMS Certification is valid nationwide.

What to Expect:

Course Work

  • Blueprint interpretation and technical math
  • Manual and computerized numeric control (CNC) machining

Other instruction includes industry specific computer applications, such as

  • computer-aided drafting (CAD)
  • computer-aided machining (CAM)

Career Paths

Graduates should qualify for employment as machining technicians in:

  • Fabrication industries

  • Rapid-prototyping and rapid-manufacturing industries
